Fall is a beautiful time of year on the National Mall. While it may not seem like the most obvious destination to see foliage in DC, the Mall offers a peaceful respite from the downtown corridor and a bounty of colorful landscapes.

There’s many ways you can celebrate your birthday in DC, but if you like fashion, sweets, and discounts as much as we do, few things can beat Anthropologie’s birthday parties for its Anthro members.
This past Wednesday, Anthropologie on F Street held a party for Anthro members celebrating birthdays in September and October. Champagne, cupcakes, and macarons were provided along with a 15% discount on all merchandise. Anthropologie personal stylists were also on hand to assist attendees in finding new looks for fall.

At 24, Alicia Chew is already a seasoned Internet expert.
A native of Northern Virginia, Chew launched her first website when she was just 10 years old and specialized in web and graphic design in high school. Many websites later, Chew decided to launch her first fashion-oriented website – River City Chic – while she was a communications student at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
Now graduated and back in the DC metro area, Chew has transformed River City Chic into AliciaTenise.com and, in turn, has become one of the area’s leading fashion bloggers.
We talked to her about her style inspirations, her must-have products, and what’s next for her site.

It had been a while since I’d been to the Georgetown Waterfront, so I decided it would be worth exploring for a Sunday Snapshot. The views are just as picturesque as I remember – and with some new restaurants (and more on the way), it’s also a great place to dine and enjoy a day (or evening) away from city life.
