Wondering where to eat this July 4th in Washington, DC? Check out what will be happening at some of our favorite places around the city. (District Style note: If you’re looking for the best places to catch the fireworks, click here.)
701 Restaurant (Penn Quarter) will be hosting a BBQ from 4 to 9 pm on its outdoor patio situated next to the Navy Memorial Fountain on Pennsylvania Ave NW. Dishes range from $8 to $15 each and will include the 701 Burger, Grilled Half Chicken with Peri Peri Sauce, Beef Hot Dog Chicago Style, and Pulled Pork Sandwich with Coleslaw and Moppin Sauce. Starters begin at $4 each. Reservations are recommended.
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken (Downtown/Metro Center) is assembling a to-go feast for picnics and fireworks displays. For $36, you can pre-order eight pieces of fried chicken, three USA doughnuts, three birthday cake doughnuts, and one pint of potato salad for pickup between 11:30 am and 5:30 pm on July 4th. Astro will also be open during regular business hours on July 4th and will offer doughnuts and fried chicken for purchase à la carte while supplies last.
Baked & Wired (Georgetown) will be offering select sweets – including its famous cupcakes – decorated in red, white, and blue on July 4th.
El Centro D.F. (U Street) will be offering its $35 Mexican brunch – including unlimited small plates and bottomless brunch cocktails – from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm on July 4th.
Farmers Fishers Bakers (Georgetown) will be offering a farmer’s market style brunch buffet for $29.99 per person (including complimentary drip coffee and iced tea). Children ages
6-12 eat for $14.99 and children under 6 eat free. The buffet will include breakfast tacos, egg scrambles, made-to-order guacamole, salads, cinnamon buns, and more.
Founding Farmers (Foggy Bottom), the sister restaurant of Farmers Fishers Bakers, will be also offering brunch on July 4th from 9 am to 2 pm.
Masa 14 (U Street) will be serving $39 Latin-Asian brunch – including unlimited small plates and bottomless brunch cocktails – from 10 pm to 3 pm.
Teddy The Bully Bar (Dupont) will be offering an all-you-can-eat menu from 2 pm to 1 am on July 4th. The cost is $32 per person and $16 for kids 12 and under (excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity). Click here for the complete listing of menu items.
