DC Bites + Style: April 15, 2014


  • Looking for a new eating experience this weekend?  Whole Foods Foggy Bottom will be hosting a five-course, Italian-inspired gourmet vegan meal on Saturday, April 19 at 7pm.  Weather permitting, the event will be held in the store’s outdoor patio area.  Tickets are $10 and are available by emailing the store.  [Whole Foods Market]

  • STYLECABLE, a curated online website featuring up-and-coming fashion designers, will be hosting a pop up party on Wednesday, April 23 at 1776.  Tickets include an open bar, a lip and lash bar, and a promotional discount on jewelry, handbags, and apparel available for sale at the event.  [EventBrite]

  • Salt & Sundry will be opening a second location on 14th and S St NW later this summer. [Salt & Sundry via Instagram]

  • GCDC is now open at 1730 Pennsylvania Ave NW.  The focus for lunch is grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, and tots, but the options expand for dinner with an extensive wine, cheese, and beer selection.  Yum!  [GCDC]

  • West Elm may or may not be coming to 14th Street.  [PoPville]

  • Oyamel has extended its hours and its late night offerings.  The restaurant will now be open until midnight Sunday through Wednesdays and until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturdays.
